1. Frederic (Fritz) A. Simon passed away peacefully, Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Bickford Cottage Assisted
Living Facility, in Battle Creek, Michigan. He was born in Remus, Michigan, to Aloysius and Matilda Simon on March 8,
1925. During WWII, he was assigned to the 7th Infantry, 235th Combat Engineers, and subsequently detached to serve
as the First Sergeant of the Palace Guard in Seoul, Korea.

2. Joan M. Farr, Mecosta, MI, Formerly of Lansing, Age 80, passed away at home with her husband at her side, on
Thursday, October 11, 2007. She was born on September 8, 1927 in Barron, WI, and had lived in Lansing most of her
life.

3. William Lawrence Miller, Frankenmuth, MI , Went to his heavenly home peacefully surrounded by his beloved family
on December 13th after a brief illness, Age 60 years. He was born August 31, 1947 in his beloved hometown of
Barryton, MI to Ann Louise and Floyd Miller. He was married to the love of his life Margo Henson on August 17th, 1968.

4. William Haynes Jr. from Lansing, Michigan, died Monday July 7, 2007. He was an electrician by trade (IBEW Union
655) and enjoyed many good times at School Section Lake. He was an avid bowler and one of his greatest joys was
his 1963 Corvette.

5. Clara Taylor, 102, of 9020 W. School Section Lake Drive went home to the Lord on July 27 at the Hospice House of
Mesa, AZ. She is survived by one son Bill and his wife Barbara, Grandchildren - Beth Ann Cookman, Matthew, Michael
and two Great Granddaughters - Olivia and Charlotte. Clara was a life long resident of School Section Lake and had
lived with her son Bill for the past ten years. The family ask that any memorials be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
Flower St., Phoenix, AZ. 85014.

6. L. Jane Napieralski, age 88, of Alma, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Masonic Pathways in Alma.
Jane was born April 11, 1921 in Alma the daughter of LeRoy and Lillian (Ross) Layman. She was a 1938 graduate of
Alma High School and went on to obtain degrees in Business and Literature from CMU. She retired with the Huron
Valley Girl Scout Council as their purchasing agent. Jane was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Remus,
served on the Morton Township Library Board and was secretary for the School Section Lake Association.
