School Section Lake Association
Purpose: The goal of our association is to preserve, protect and enhance our
wonderful resource of School Section Lake. This can only be done if our members
act jointly to plan and implement lake preservation programs, activities etc.

School Section Lake is a natural spring fed lake that is abundant with fish, water
fowl and vegetation. This is our little "piece of paradise" that we want to leave
better than we found it.

Some may wonder - Why we need an Association and what it is doing for the
members. Here are some recent things the Association has directed and
implemented. We want to speak with a unified voice and use the power of our
organization in representing our community.

1. Fish plantings - 250 Rainbow Trout and 550 Walleyes
2. Spray Program - Asian Milfoil, Gypsy Moths
3. Watercraft Safety Day - Park
4. Developed Association Website - improving communication, fund raising
5. Publish newsletters, collect dues and provide administative support
6. Organize a "Meet your Neighbor" event
7. Coordinate with local officals like the sheriff and park managers
8. Posting "No Wake Signs" and monitoring safety around the Lake
9. Represent property owners at critical lake related meetings
10. Monitor water quality by sampling lake water and submitting to DNR
